Cork County Council, in partnership with Midleton Lions Club, has initiated a Part 8 planning process for a new residential development at Distillery Lane, Midleton. The proposed six-storey development comprises 16 one-bedroom apartments, a community common room, and a secured walled garden, with restoration of historic stone walls.

Plans can be viewed at Cork County Council offices in County Hall and at the East Cork Municipal District Offices in Midleton, by appointment. Documents are also available online and can be requested in hard copy or digital format. Viewing appointments can be arranged by calling (021) 4285889 or (021) 4285857, or by emailing part8housing@corkcoco.ie

Submissions can be made through the online portal or in writing to the Director of Services, Housing Directorate at County Hall, Cork. An Environmental Impact Assessment screening has determined that the development is unlikely to have significant environmental effects.
