Dublin Airport Infrastructure Development and Passenger Capacity Application Dublin
Airport Authority (daa)
Closing Date: 5pm, Monday 8th January 2025
The Planning Authority has determined that significant additional information has been submitted by daa regarding planning application F23A/0781, which proposes infrastructure development at Dublin Airport and seeks to increase the annual passenger capacity to 40 million passengers.
The new submission, received on November 13th, has triggered a fresh public consultation period. This application is notable for its complexity, involving both infrastructure development and passenger capacity considerations. The standard planning application timeline does not apply in this case due to the involvement of the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority (ANCA).
The public should be aware that the final decision timeline remains uncertain, as daa has yet to submit information requested by ANCA in March 2024 regarding noise assessment requirements. The Planning Authority cannot make its final determination until it receives direction from ANCA concerning aircraft noise matters.
The Planning Authority will assess the application against relevant national, regional, and local planning policies, including the Fingal Development Plan and the Dublin Airport Local Area Plan. All interested parties are encouraged to review the additional information and submit their observations.
