West Clare Bus Services Enhancement - Public Consultation

National Transport Authority

Closing Date: 5pm, Thursday 6th February 2025

The National Transport Authority has launched a consultation on proposed improvements to bus services across West Clare. The plan includes significant changes to existing routes and the introduction of new services to enhance connectivity along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Key proposals include increasing the frequency of Route 350 between Lisdoonvarna and Ballyvaughan, rerouting the 333 Ennis-Kilkee service, introducing a new Route 338 serving Ennistymon-Ennis via Lisdoonvara, and establishing Route 350C along the R477 coastal route. All services will integrate with the TFI Live app and accept Leap Card payments and Free Travel Passes.

The changes form part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, supporting national objectives for improved rural transport connectivity. Residents and businesses can submit feedback through the NTA's consultation portal: https://consult.nationaltransport.ie/

These improvements align with the goals of Project Ireland 2040 and the Climate Action Plan, aiming to strengthen public transport options for rural communities.
